Écran, Papier, Editer - EPE
Project description
The aim of the Écran, Papier, Editer project is to develop independent and sustainable tools for editorial design as an alternative to expensive commercial softwares. It focuses on redefining education in graphic editing through prototypes and concepts that enable easy achievement of high-performance design and printing without the need for proprietary software.
The project also develops an educational program that provides students with artistic freedom and independence from tools, opposing the division between designing for print and digital media and the dominance of expensive software. Research and prototype development aim at flexible, creative tools based on open models.
Given the use of hybrid forms (sound, video, AR, VR) in art, the project addresses a holistic approach to aesthetics across different media. Additionally, the project offers innovative approaches to the distribution of artistic content, focusing on environmentally friendly practices and waste reduction through precise print management.
