Growing Together
Project description
To use all the challenges of living in this exact moment as an opportunity for growth, Fraktura publishing house tailored the project Growing Together which will respond to the accurate needs of European society. The project was carefully designed, always bearing in mind the pressing priorities of the sector we belong to, the society that we live in and the nature that surrounds us. While valuing the European heritage which bears many lectures on how to be better, the project aims to plant a seed for a more sustainable, inclusive and conscious European society. The project aims to recover cultural operators severely hit by the corona-crisis, implement innovative practices, establish cross-sectoral cooperation, and connections in unexpected places and learning environments, build the capacity of artists and strengthen the international presence of Fraktura publishing house.
With the project starting in April 2022 and ending in December 2024, twenty-six books will be translated, published and distributed, twenty-one being translated from thirteen European languages into Croatian and five of them from Croatian into English. A set of digital and traditional promotional activities will be carried out, bearing in mind the habits and preferences of each target group. The project will result in richer literary production on a yearly basis, active inclusion of vulnerable groups in cultural interaction, reached six new audiences with 32.000 users who will benefit from the project, expansion of distribution network on English-speaking markets, support green initiatives by collaboration with Biljkoborci and Boranka and 10.000 planted trees on Dalmatian areas devastated by fire.
