Project description

HEALING NATURE is an international project exploring how art, nature, and digital technologies can improve hospital environments and support the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of children, patients, and healthcare staff. The project creates interactive artistic experiences by combining murals with augmented reality (AR) through an innovative format, encouraging children to actively engage with their surroundings. Alongside the artistic interventions, the project includes workshops, research on the impact of art in hospitals, and a digital publication presenting its results. It builds on the pilot projects Digital Fauna (2021) and Animated Forest World in the Hospital Space (2023). HEALING NATURE takes place in hospitals in Croatia, Bulgaria, and Portugal and is co-funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe Programme.
