Project description

Project ‘Mirroring the World: European Literary Lifeline’ encompasses different literary genres and writers from different cultural and geographical contexts, with a clear intention of bringing together wider readership in discovering hidden gems of contemporary European literature, more closely focused on the Balkan and Adriatic perspectives, which are appealing not only to the local audiences, but also to the general European readership, who will have the chance to read all the selected works in English translation. Titles chosen for this book series represent not only the embodiment of the concept of this specific project but also represent the continuation of Sandorf’s, now together with two partners – respective publishers from Slovenia (Zalozba Goga) and Italy (Bottega Errante Edizioni) – strategy in increasing the diversity of European literature, genre based, culturally and linguistically by encouraging translations from lesser used languages (Croatian and Slovene) into English and Italian.
